Get a public transport ticket in Germany

The Deutschlandticket is a single monthly subscription that covers all local and regional public transport — bus, tram, U-Bahn, S-Bahn and regional trains — in Germany and right across Germany. You subscribe through your local operator's app or Deutsche Bahn and can cancel month to month.

One nationwide monthly price — check the current price with your operator or on bahn.de. Rolling subscription, cancel any month.

Good to know — wherever you live

  • It does not cover long-distance trains (ICE, IC, EC) — only regional and local services, though those can take you surprisingly far for the price.
  • Many employers offer it as a subsidised Jobticket, and students often have a cheaper semester version — ask before subscribing yourself.
  • It's a rolling subscription billed monthly; cancel by the cut-off date (usually the 10th) to stop the next month.
  • The ticket is digital and personal — it lives in your operator's app and can't be shared with someone else.
